Paul Robinson has stated that Leeds United supporters can make sense of a recent event about Marc Roca’s future.
The 27-year-old Spanish midfielder is now on loan at Real Betis, but it seems unlikely that he will return to Elland Road as ElDesmarque revealed on its website on March 13 that it has purchased a home in Spain.
According to TEAMTALK, the Whites are prepared to sell Roca permanently, and the rumored £10.3 million option to buy only serves to confirm the notion that he has little chance of staying at Leeds.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, former Whites keeper Robinson believes it is inevitable that he will move on, but he also hinted that it is doubtful that any of the players who were permitted to leave on loan last summer would be able to join the current team, who are now leading the Championship.
“I mean, isn’t it just connecting the dots? When questioned about the fact that Roca had purchased a home in Spain, Robinson responded.
“But I think with a lot of the players that are out on loan you can pretty much say they don’t have a future at the club unless it’s the younger players who have been sent out on loan for a different reason than financially and the manager not wanting them.
“Senior players who the manager has deemed unfit to be in his team or who do not fit within the financial framework are in a distinct category from younger players who have been sent out on loan to get game time.
“The manager has made the proper choices on every one of those guys who are out on loan, including Ian Poveda to that extent, Marc Roca, Rasmus Kristensen, and Brenden Aaronson.
“You can’t question the selections he’s made because those players failed in the Premier League and didn’t really cut it at that level.
“I believe the manager had the opportunity to let them go because of the finances and the terms of their contracts, and it also gave him some leeway to make the transfers he wanted, bringing in players like Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, and Connor Roberts, who have all performed admirably.
“The manager has made excellent judgments and brought in some extremely talented players. Therefore, you wouldn’t think that the players who are on loan have a future as long as the manager is in control.
“I’m examining the players who are on loan, not a single one of them would return to the starting lineup based on their names and their projected positions.”
Leeds United is prepared to approve the long-term sale of Marc Roca.
There’s no denying that Leeds’ hiring decisions prior to the 2022–2023 season left a lot to be desired.
To be honest, Roca wasn’t the worst one among them all. In fact, Tyler Adams was looking like a really shrewd transfer before suffering an unfortunate accident.
However, similar to several others, he chose the easy route by utilizing a provision in his agreement to leave on loan following Leeds’ relegation.
He shouldn’t be permitted to go near Thorp Arch ever again just for that reason. He’s ready to go to sleep after making his bed. in his brand-new Spanish house.
