What really is going on with 777 Partners and their intended Everton takeover, then?

The US-based group seemed to have faded into the background in recent days as PSR and FFP made headlines once more in the aftermath of Nottingham Forest’s four-point deduction.

Next Monday, Everton will have their second Premier League hearing and will once again be put on the cutting board. The FFP violations have made things more complicated for 777 as Josh Wander and his allies try to persuade the authorities that they have what it takes to move the team forward.

Updates on 777 Partners’ acquisition of Everton
At first, 777 Partners’ management of its previous sports endeavors drew criticism. The main warning sign came from Standard Liege in Belgium, where employees were not paid on time for the first three months of 2024.

The Miami-based company, however, maintains that the prior owner’s administrative error was the reason for the payment delay.

More recently, 777 Partners may have the opportunity to acquire the team, according to dependable Everton correspondent Alan Myers. This comes nearly eight months after Farhad Moshiri declared he had achieved an agreement to sell his 94% ownership in the team.

A second twist might come from the rumors that 777 Partners’ New York money has been withdrawn, given the debt that would arise if they were to buy the club.

Here’s how it feels inside Goodison Park. There are a lot of things for Everton, the Premier League, and 777 Partners to think about.

Does Everton think that 777 Partners will take over?
According to a report published in The Liverpool Echo on Friday, March 22, the drama is expected to go into its eighth month, with Everton’s PSR charge and any associated penalties coming first.

The Echo reports that Everton insiders are hopeful a deal can be reached despite the delay.

“Everton insiders maintain optimism that a deal will eventually close, and sources close to 777 also share this sentiment,” the article stated.

Though nothing is ever simple, everyone in Everton will agree that this story has been rumbling for far too long. It is best to make a decision as soon as possible.

Prior to the club moving from Goodison Park in the upcoming season, the board has to be aware of their current position.
