Phil Parkinson has cautioned Wrexham not to allow their “frustration” get the better of them in light of their recent string of poor performances.
Consequently, what happened?
The Welsh team is in risk of dropping out of the automatic promotion spots after winning just two of their last seven League Two games, following their 1-0 loss to Tranmere last week. In an effort to regain form, Parkinson has urged his team to remain composed.
PARKINSON’S MENTION
“We have to make sure we don’t let the frustration of the defeat affect us going into the next game,” he told reporters. After removing all emotion from the game, you can analyze it and see that a significant portion of our poor decision-making was the reason we lost. We still had some truly great moments and some really good stuff, but certainly not enough given the strain we were under.
“Secondly, Tranmere played outstanding defense; their last-ditch blocks were likely at a level that they won’t play at this season. Thirdly, nothing went our way in the box. However, if we continue to play the way we have, sharpen our judgment, and raise our percentage of hits on goal, then something will work out for us.”

The Red Dragons are presently third in the standings, one point behind Stockport County in second place, but ahead of MK Dons on goal differential alone. They might drop out of the top three and into the play-off spots with another error.
FUTURE PLANS FOR WREXHAM?
When Parkinson’s team visits Grimsby in League Two on Saturday, they’ll be looking to go back to winning ways. Although they have not lost in their previous six games, their opponents this weekend are presently ranked 21st in the standings.
