News about Everton transfers: As their financial problems persist, they may find salvation in the free agency market, but who may they sign?

Everton’s finances are still precarious, and there is a great deal of mystery around their summer spending plans.

Since the contracts of Andre Gomes, Dele Alli, Ashley Young, Idrissa Gueye, and Seamus Coleman are all set to expire at the end of the current campaign, some players may choose to leave. In addition, Jack Harrison will rejoin Leeds United, while Arnaut Danjuma will rejoin Villarreal. Consequently, they may be saved by signing players for free, as they accomplished last summer. There are possibilities available, but who?

1. Lloyd Kelly

The Bournemouth defender can cover at full-back or centre-back and has plenty of experience in the PL. He could provide vital cover across the back.

2. Josh Brownhill

Brownhill has a high work-rate in midfield and is defensively minded. He could provide depth and help bring fresher legs with Dele Alli, Andre Gomes and Idrissa Gueye poised to leave.

3. Anthony Martial

Martial has a strong record against Everton but he has fallen out of favour at United. It would be an unlikely signing but he would certainly add a new dynamic and more quality.

4. Tosin Adarabioyo

The Fulham defender is yet to sign a new deal and would be a huge coup for Everton as he is being scouted by clubs challenging for Europe.

5. Kenny Tete

The 28-year-old right-back could be an option for Sean Dyche as right-back has been a problem area in terms of consistency this season.

6. Vladimir Coufal

The right-back has huge experience and has been brilliant for West Ham this season and he would be able to plug that position for at least a season or two while Patterson is developed or another defender is scouted.

7. Michail Antonio

The 32-year-old is still scoring goals for West Ham and is a versatile forward who can play almost anywhere he’s required. He would instantly be able to slot into wherever Dyche needed.

8. Mohamed Elneny

Elneny has barely featured for Arsenal this season but he could be a midfielder who could offer depth for Dyche.

9. Bertrand Traore

Traore left Aston Villa in January and signed a six-month deal at Villarreal. If he doesn’t get another deal then he is a great option off the right wing.

10. Daichi Kamada

The 27-year-old has had a difficult year at Lazio but he remains a strong option for many sides in Europe because of his past form at Frankfurt.

11. Felipe Anderson

The winger was once at West Ham and has enjoyed some success at Lazio and he could be a decent option off the left wing.

12. Pape Gueye

The midfielder is out of contract this summer and the 24-year-old would be a solid replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who could depart.
