It always seems to be pouring rain at Nottingham Forest when it comes to injuries. Now, it appears that a another elite player sustained an injury while serving for his country.

Currently, twelve Forest players are away on international duty. It appears that certain people are more successful than others, and one of them seems to have sustained an injury.

When players from a club represent their country abroad, it’s always a proud moment. From a Forest standpoint, though, all that can be done is hope and pray that everyone returns unscathed and without any injuries.

Many of Forest’s players who are on international duty are crucial to the success of the team. It appears that one of those is now hurt after yesterday.

Willy Boly limps off for Ivory Coast

Well, it would seem as though the worst nightmares have become a reality. Boly returned for Forest in the 1-1 draw against Luton and yesterday he limped off as the Ivory Coast drew with Benin in a friendly.

The 33-year-old started the game as the African Nations Cup winners played on home soil. After just 40 minutes, he was on his way back down the tunnel and now Forest must wait for the prognosis.

Boly signed for Forest from Wolves in the summer of 2022. He was a £2 million signing and when he’s been fit, he’s been considered one of the team’s better defenders.

Boly has won more headers this season than any other Forest player, as evidenced by Who Scored. In addition, he has made the second-most blocks and clearances after Murillo.

Forest will now carefully await news from Boly.
We believe that if Forest knows anything about them, the team will insist that Boly come back to the City Ground so he may be evaluated. Forest can ill afford any more losses as they take on Crystal Palace on Saturday.

When needed, the center back has been a vital member of the defense. Boly is the kind of player who just enjoys heading the ball, and Kelvin Wilson has nothing but praise for the work he did at Forest.

This past week, rumors circulated that Forest was going to offer Boly a new deal. However, the individuals working behind the scenes at the club must be concerned about his injury history.

At Forest, the injury situation is concerning. Since the team’s promotion to the Premier League, that has been the case, therefore Forest should consider looking into it further in the summer.
