Given that several of their players appear certain to leave, Leeds United may need to make significant roster changes for the upcoming year.

In addition to having several players in the current squad whose contracts are about to expire, the Whites have a large group of stars on loan who may be sold to increase their transfer budget.

Football Insider has examined 10 players who are likely to leave Elland Road this summer in light of the most recent developments involving Leeds’ stars and fresh information from sources. Daniel Farke’s promotion-chasing team also have plenty of quality players in their ranks who could be sold for big fees amid interest from Premier League giants.

Sam Byram

The left-back signed a one-year contract last summer when his Norwich City contract expired, and it is scheduled to expire at the end of the current campaign.

He has done a fantastic job filling in for Junior Firpo throughout his absence, although he has experienced his fair share of injuries.

In an attempt to stay in the league, the Whites may be tempted to lower their pay budget and sign a better player if they receive the anticipated promotion.

Jack Harrison

Harrison would have to win over Leeds fans if he returned because many were upset when he left for Everton last summer.

Even if they get promoted, sources have told Football Insider (February 25) that he intends to make a permanent move to the Toffees this summer and does not want to return to Leeds.

The team’s goal is probably to remove him from their records permanently because they have a wealth of talented attackers who have more than filled his shoes this year.

The newest reports from sources indicate that Harrison is expected to leave Elland Road regardless of whether he is able to secure a permanent move to Goodison Park. A deal is contingent upon Everton’s financial resources and their standing in the top division.

Max Wober

The Austrian was moved on loan to Borussia Monchengladbach of the Bundesliga in the summer, but sources told Football Insider on March 14 that Leeds will approve his departure should the right deal present itself.

With 21 league starts under his belt, he has established himself as a mainstay for the German team and may leave this summer.

Wober’s contract at Elland Road runs through 2027, so the club should be able to get a respectable price for him following his rumored £11 million departure from RB Salzburg in January 2023.

Brenden Aaronson

Due to his poor performance while on loan at Union Berlin this season, Aaronson is unlikely to play a significant role for Leeds should they make a comeback to the Premier League.

Additionally, reliable sources told Football Insider on March 5 that he has no future at Leeds and that they fully anticipate him leaving the team in the summer, either permanently or through a further loan move.

It is doubtful that the American will be a part of Farke’s plans moving forward after his underwhelming Premier League debut season with the Whites.

Stuart Dallas

The seasoned defender has been a staple for the Whites in previous seasons, but his ageing body and ongoing injury problems cast serious question on his Leeds future.

The club would probably want to get rid of him after his nine-year tenure because his contract expires at the end of the current campaign and he would probably find it difficult to contribute in the Premier League once more.

Liam Cooper

Cooper, another aging star whose contract is up this summer, has struggled to put together a winning streak this year.

His prospects as a Premier League player appear slim given that Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, and Pascal Struijk have kept him out of the starting lineup with their outstanding performances at center back.

Although the 32-year-old will always be honored by the team for his ten years of dedication, it appears that it is time for him to leave.

Cody Drameh

The Birmingham City loanee has played his final game for the team and is not expected to earn a contract extension, according to Football Insider, which was published on March 16.

He was considered surplus to requirements at the beginning of the season, and when his contract ends this summer, it’s possible that the Blues will extend his loan period.

Drameh’s will undoubtedly be situated apart from the giants of Yorkshire.

Joe Gelhardt

Several Championship teams requested the 21-year-old on loan in the summer, but Leeds may be kicking themselves for keeping him this season given his lack of playing time.

Gelhardt is obviously not Farke’s first choice, as seen by his meager 172 minutes of Championship action this season.

He did score against Shrewsbury Town in the September League Cup, and he’ll probably draw a lot of attention this summer.

But his chances of making an impression at Leeds look slim, particularly in the Premier League.

Wilfried Gnonto

Gnonto’s summer transfer saga has been well and truly put to rest after his quality outings for Leeds this season.

Although Everton attempted to sign the Italian international last season, there is anticipated to be renewed interest in the player.

Football Insider (16 February) has learned from sources that top-tier teams are anticipated to show interest in him this summer.

With eight goals this season across all competitions, Leeds may lose the highly-total 20-year-old.

Marc Roca

Roca has demonstrated his abilities while playing on loan for Real Betis this season, and he is sure to have a large following.

Leeds would gain from this, as Football Insider reported on March 13 that the team will consider the midfielder’s bids regardless of whether they get promoted.

Even though he was one of the few Leeds aces to play well in their season that ended in relegation last year, the club will probably cut their losses and try to move him on.
