Manager shares his pre-match thoughts on Watford match.

Ahead of Leeds United facing Watford on Friday evening in the Sky Bet Championship, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts to the media.

Our upcoming hosts have recently changed their boss, with Tom Cleverley taking over as interim head coach, which saw them pick up a win before the international break.

Farke was asked about what he expected to face from the opposition in this upcoming match after their recent change, with his side having just eight games remaining of the season.

“It’s a club with ambition and they’ve also played in the last 10 years, several years on Premier League level,” the manager explained.

“There’s still lots of potential players, also experienced players, physical players, but also quality players.

“Once a new manager comes in, the first games don’t have to do with the quality of the former manager or whatever, but it’s always like a feel of fresh air.

“For everyone, it’s a new start, everyone can impress and they’ve used also this effect in the last game with a pretty important win for them.

“It’s a home game, so I think they will be highly motivated in this home game to be there with back to back wins, and for that we have to be prepared for a really difficult challenge.

“Under the circumstances, we have to dig in and show great unity and great togetherness.

“I also am quite sure that we need our away supporters to carry us perhaps also during challenging and difficult periods during this game.

“Because, this is definitely an important game in order to grind out results and to win as many points as possible.”
