With 12 games without a win after a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth at Dean Court on Saturday, Everton tied their longest league winless stretch in 29 years.
Even though Everton has dropped seven of those games, the only thing keeping the Toffees out of the relegation zone is the subpar play of the clubs below them.
Dyche acknowledged that leading Everton was never going to be simple and emphasized that he and his group must accept responsibility for the rut they are in.
Though he acknowledged that his squad should have drawn at Bournemouth, he maintained that some of the off-field difficulties and other concerns were beyond of his control.
On BBC’s Match of the Day, the Everton manager declared, “We’re responsible, I’m responsible.”
“I didn’t enter into believing it would be an easy task.
“However, those are truly significant moments when things happen against you and are beyond your control, like the 10 points and the referee today. Without a question. “At the very least, we ought to have gained one point.”
When Everton gets ready to travel to Newcastle United on Tuesday night, they will be itching for a victory.
