If Max Dean is sold, Leeds United will receive a “significant percentage” of the money MK Dons receive for the striker, according to Joe Donnohue.

On March 29, the reporter for the Yorkshire Evening Post announced the news on his personal X account, following Dean’s two goals against Walsall.

Dean attended Leeds’ academy, however he never played for the Whites at the senior level until leaving for the Dons in January 2023.

“Ex-LUFC youngster Max Dean has two goals and two assists off the bench this afternoon,” Donnohue stated. For 25 minutes of work, not bad.

informed that he was the subject of interest from overseas in January.

“Leiceland would profit from a sizable percentage sell-on clause if he left MK.”

Max Dean, the League Two standout for MK Dons
Dean obviously made the right choice in joining MK Dons, as he was reunited with Mark Jackson, the former coach of Leeds Under-23s.

With his performances this season, the 20-year-old, who plays football on a regular basis in the third division, is obviously too excellent for that level.

Indeed, following his outstanding performance in Friday’s 5-0 victory over Walsall, Dean currently has 11 goals and three assists (March 29).

Leeds understood he had a bright future ahead of him and was wise to include the sell-on clause, even though they were unable to hold onto him.

It’s unclear how much United will pay for him, but MK Dons might face significant difficulties in holding onto him.

Who knows? Dean might find himself back at Elland Road in the future if his current course is followed.
