Newcastle United keeps producing exciting plays.

Even if this season consistency has been a problem for Newcastle, there is no denying that they are capable of some incredible moments.

In fact, you can add this season’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain, both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal, the soaring Aston Villa (twice, no less), and Sunderland to the list of successes, which also included Saturday’s 4-3 triumph over West Ham in a Premier League classic.

In the fight for European qualifying, Eddie Howe’s team came back from the dead to win what might turn out to be a crucial three points.

Of course, a certain Harvey Barnes had a crucial role in that.

The first few months of the winger’s Newcastle career have not been easy. His game time has been severely damaged by injury issues, the likes of which the club’s medical team have never seen in football.

But Barnes scored twice in as many minutes after entering the game as a substitute, tying the score at three before netting an incredible late winner.

The Geordie faithful were overjoyed with him, as you may guess.

Barnes will tear you apart, Newcastle supporters sing during the winger’s interview.
Barnes turned the game around, thus it was only natural that he was interviewed after the game.

Newcastle supporters took time to serenade the former Leicester player even after the stadium had filled up.

As he was wrapping up his post-match interview, supporters were yelling, “Barnes will tear you apart,” according to journalist Ciaran Kelly on X (previously Twitter).

This season, Harvey Barnes is changing the game.
It’s evident that Barnes is changing things up this season when you consider in addition to his goal to save a point against Luton.

Though it has undoubtedly been extremely distressing to watch his career hampered by so many injuries, he immediately appears more decisive in the closing third than Allan Saint-Maximin, the player he replaced.

Despite playing for a team that is not nearly as successful as it was the previous season, he has already scored four times as many goals as the Frenchman did.

Newcastle’s choice to sign him is looking more and more justified.
