Star player Murillo of Nottingham Forest played for the Reds again yesterday as the team emerged from the relegation zone. A player Steve Cooper did not choose praised the center-back on Instagram following the match.

For the Brazilian player, this season has been amazing. Manchester City pursued Murillo before Forest pounced and acquired him from Corinthians for an estimated £11 million.

Since making his Premier League debut in October against Brentford, the player has been a constant. Ahead of the summer, he is now being connected to four Premier League teams.

Murillo played the entire ninety minutes as Forest and Crystal Palace drew 1-1 at the City Ground yesterday. He positioned himself next to Felipe, and the two of them mostly prevented the Eagles from getting close to Matz Sels’ goal.

Strange Steve Cooper signing commends Murillo
On Trentside, the 21-year-old has been a revelation. He has established himself as the left center defensive position’s primary player, and he is a good example of a contemporary defender.

Who Scored reports that Murillo has made the second most dribbles of any central defense in the Premier League. In addition, he has an excellent eye for a deep pass and doesn’t mind switching things up.

A man who never really had a chance at Forest sent him some love on Instagram yesterday after the game.

In the summer, Andrey Santos was signed by Chelsea on loan. In an odd decision, Steve Cooper decided not to play him, and he ended up playing for Forest for just seven minutes in the Premier League.

He sent Forest defender Murillo a one-word message on Instagram following yesterday’s match. He only wrote “Monstro,” which is clearly translated as “monster” in English, on the Reds star.

This season, Murillo can help Forest survive.
Finding someone who can regularly collaborate with Murillo is Forest’s challenge. The Reds have used a number of different center backs this season, and the squad has occasionally suffered from the lack of consistency.

Murillo’s future at Forest is doubtful. The Brazilian may be sold since the team is eager to make sure they make it through the upcoming financial fair play cycle and will need to raise some money.

Felipe participated in the game yesterday, although he hasn’t typically played back-to-back games this season. Thus, on Tuesday night, Andrew Omobamidele might rejoin the team.

The center-back issue requires a decision from Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo. It’s not helping anyone that Murillo keeps switching partners, so having a steady partner would be great.
