Reo Hatate, the Celtics star, told up about his terrible injury journey and stated he’s determined to make up lost time.
With Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Livingston, the Japanese playmaker has made his much-awaited comeback, and he will now likely start this Sunday at Ibrox. After missing three separate stints due to injury, the fan favorite has only been able to make 12 appearances this season, which has been quite distressing.
The Treble champion, who most recently injured both calves while on international duty in January, has now made it his mission to assist Brendan Rodgers’ team in winning both the league and the cup. He has also promised to play a major role between now and the end of the campaign.
“I have been injured repeatedly and have not been able to contribute to the team,” he wrote in his Sportiva blog. In addition to trying to win as many championships as I can, I want to provide the Celtic supporters a show that confirms their belief that “Celtic needs Reo Hatate.”
In order to be ready for my return, I went over everything while I was recovering. This includes food, physical strength, training regimen, and competition readiness.
“It was somewhat shocking to have repeatedly suffered the same injury, even if it happened in a different place. This was my third injury of the season. After the Asian Cup, my heart sunk when I got back to Scotland.
“On October 25, 2018, I sustained an injury during a Champions League encounter against Atletico Madrid. At the time, I was disappointed, but I soon got over it. “I will absolutely heal from my injury and compete in the Asia Cup,” was my thought to myself.
Setting definite objectives for my comeback helped me to maintain a lot more optimism. But because I had been hurt while competing in a competition that had been my aim, I found it harder to modify my attitude this time.”
