The medical team of the club has released Celtic star Luis Palma on medical grounds, and he will be available for selection in this weekend’s matchup against Philippe Clement’s Rangers.

The attacker will be a member of Brendan Rodgers’ side when they play Rangers at Ibrox, according to La Prensa and Diez in Honduras.

Palma has been out of action for over a month after picking up a knock in training ahead of the international break, which ultimately saw him miss out for his country as a result.

He underwent an MRI scan ahead of that break which confirmed he would be out of four weeks and has been absent for Celtic ever since.

Reports in Scotland this week have claimed he was ahead of schedule in his recovery, though, and could be in the squad to face Rangers this weekend as a result.

La Prensa and Diez go one step further, though, both reporting that they have learned that the Honduran has been medically discharged by Celtic’s medical department and ‘will return’ to the Celtic squad ahead of their trip to Ibrox to face old rivals Rangers.

Although it’s debatable if the Honduran will start, he’s back in the gym and ready to contribute as Celtic tries to fend off Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
