Thilo Kehrer, a West Ham United loanee, has acknowledged that he has not yet started talks about turning his summer loan at Monaco into a permanent arrangement.

The German international joined the Ligue 1 team on loan with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season after falling out of favor at London Stadium during the January transfer window.

Although Kehrer has made an impression since joining Monaco, starting nine league games and dishing out one assist, no decision has been taken regarding his future, despite the 27-year-old’s admission that he is open to a long-term transfer.

He stated, “It is something that I am open to; otherwise, I wouldn’t have come here in this manner, with the purchase option,” as reported by Get French Football News on April 6. We’ll observe the outcome.

As of right now, there are no talks. All that matters is the team, the results, and the season. The remainder will follow.

When the summer transfer market opens, will Thilo Kehrer rejoin West Ham United?
The first half of the season made it very evident that Moyes did not consider German Kehrer to be a permanent member of his East London first team, with the German only making occasional appearances in Europe and the Premier League as a substitute.

Due to Vladimir Coufal’s outstanding performances this season, it has been extremely tough for any player to consistently get through the Hammers defense, hence Kehrer’s loan switch was the smartest course of action for everyone involved.

Therefore, in order to remove the German international’s wages from the books at the London Stadium, it would probably be in West Ham’s best interest to relocate him permanently this summer. Monaco should be eager to exercise their permanent option.

It’s unfortunate that fans will never get to witness Kehrer at his finest in claret and blue, but it seems highly likely that the 27-year-old will be leaving East London this summer.

In other West Ham news, Danny Murphy has revealed his thoughts in a new Tottenham admission regarding Moyes’ role at the London Stadium.
