Despite increasing transfer rumors, Leeds United is certain that Archie Gray will stay at Elland Road this summer, according to GiveMeSport.

On Sunday, April 7, the outlet posted a story on its website stating that Daniel Farke’s team thinks they can hold off on selling the 18-year-old at the end of the season, particularly if they were promoted back to the Premier League.

Leeds believes that, despite the increasing interest, playing in the Premier League at Elland Road will provide the midfielder with the ideal chance to push himself to new heights without having to relocate.

Borussia Dortmund is reportedly eager to sign the teenager this summer [Alan Nixon, 7 April], while other teams like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Liverpool have reportedly been watching the Whites talent.

Will Archie Gray be sold by Leeds United in the summer transfer window?
Leeds United is under a lot of pressure to get promoted now more than ever because they know that keeping Gray at Elland Road will be greatly aided by an early return to the Premier League.

Although the 18-year-old is a generational talent, which is great for the Whites right now, it also means that teams will be lining up to sign him, particularly after he made an impression in the middle of the park during the FA Cup match against Chelsea with a “outstanding” performance.

Teams will think they can lure Gray away from Elland Road even if Leeds does earn automatic promotion to the Premier League this year. The midfielder’s emotional connection to the Whites should influence his choices, hopefully.

There is little doubt that the talk around this transfer scandal will continue till the transfer window closes. Only then can Leeds and Gray’s supporters be certain that he won’t be leaving.

A fresh Mateo Joseph update has been released by Phil Hay ahead of Leeds United’s match against Sunderland.
