Marc Guehi, a defender for Crystal Palace, has missed the last eight games because of a knee injury.
After suffering a knee injury last month, Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi claims he is recovering well and things are going nicely. The England player is rushing to be ready for the season’s conclusion.
Since he was hurt, the Eagles have only triumphed in one game, and they were soundly defeated by Manchester City this past weekend. Although he won’t be in the team for the trip to Liverpool this weekend, the 23-year-old hopes to increase his total of 95 Premier League matches before the season ends.
He told TNT over the weekend: “It’s going well, I’m lucky I’ve got good people around me taking care of me.”
“I’m really lucky that everything is going well; my family, the physiotherapists, and the team have all been there for me.”
The former Chelsea star clarified, “That’s the plan,” when asked if he intended to make a comeback before the season’s conclusion on May 19. “Hopefully, I can return and support the guys in the final games.” All I’m waiting for is to resume playing.
With five points separating them from safety, the Eagles are in for a challenging finale to the season. They will be playing at Anfield against a Liverpool team that is still smarting from their humiliating 2-2 tie with Manchester United.
Under new manager Oliver Glasner, Palace has shown promise in spurts, but he will need to win games to get the respect of the loud-mouthed Eagles fan.
Positive news also: Michael Olise, who was injured against Manchester City, is back and will give the Eagles’ offensive line another option.
