Brenden Aaronson, an offensive midfielder for Leeds United, revealed that he believes he will not be staying with the team in 24/25.

With all of the attention on the Whites’ pursuit of promotion, the club won’t be paying much attention to Leeds’ loan contingent in the final stretch of the campaign.

But as the season draws to an end, concerns about the futures of several players who are on loan in Europe must be addressed.

Brenden Aaronson makes Leeds exit transfer admission

Although Brenden Aaronson’s loan at Union Berlin hasn’t been easy, he’s having fun in the Bundesliga. The offensive midfielder is still not producing much in the last third.

In an interview with Get Football News Germany, he said he envisions himself playing at Union the next season and perhaps moving on from Leeds permanently in the process:

“I can see myself remaining here.

“The club is amazing. it’s not upto me at the end of the day but I have so much respect for Union, the way it has been built, the staff, it’s an amazing family club and they’ve done an amazing job.

“For me, it’s (about) making the right decision in the summer, evaluating the year and going from there.

“Staying is an option but I can’t say much more.”

Aaronson comments on Leeds form this season under Daniel Farke

Also in this interview, Aaronson noted the performances of Leeds this season without him, which could have a bearing on how much he is sold for.

The USMNT man is delighted to see his former teammates are doing well:

“I’ve been paying close attention to Leeds, I know a lot of the guys, I get on with a lot of them, they are good guys.

“I’ve been paying attention because they’ve been having a fantastic season so it’s been great to watch.

“They just need to keep pushing because they’ve got good things coming their way at the end of the season.”

Aaronson needs to leave the club in the summer

Red Bull Salzburg spent £25 million on him, and Leeds has suffered greatly as a result of his departure following relegation.

He had the option to stay put over the summer and use the Championship season to get back on track, just like several of our teammates, but he lacked the fortitude to do so.

Even with these kind words, there’s no way back for him at Elland Road, therefore we need to sever relations as quickly as possible if we can recover a significant portion of that cost.
