For the team’s Scottish Premiership journey to face Ross County over the weekend, our Rangers projected the starting lineup.

Having experienced yet another midweek postponement, Rangers have benefited from a week off ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Staggies.

On Wednesday, the match between Dundee and Rangers at Dens Park was embarrassingly postponed for a second time due to match referee Don Robertson’s decision to declare the field dangerous for play.

It follows Rangers’ thrilling 3-3 Old Firm tie with Celtic, which Philippe Clement aptly characterized as a wonderful promotion for Scottish football at his pre-Ross County press conference.

However, the perception of the game in Scotland was drastically restored to unappealing standard three days later when a top-tier surface was declared unfit for play in the middle of April.

Meanwhile, the Rangers will focus on their opportunity to continue their remarkable unbeaten run against the Staggies this weekend against Ross County.

Due to a thumb injury, Clement will be without Mohamed Diomande for the match, but he could be happy to see left back Ridvan Yilmaz return.

Furthermore, the effects that Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo had as substitutes against Celtic may have a big impact on Clement’s decision-making on the starting lineup.

Beginnings for Todd Cantwell, Rabbi Matondo, and Abdallah Sima
Sima, Matondo, and Todd Cantwell were all introduced as replacements in the Old Firm in an attempt to get Rangers back into the match.

Sima equalized with a deflected shot in the 86th minute to tie it 2-2, and Matondo immediately made an impression by curling a spectacular attempt to salvage a point for the Gers.

With that, there’s a good chance the two will get something this weekend. With 16 goals for Rangers [Transfermarkt], Sima is a serious goal threat, and Matondo will naturally have a ton of confidence.

Cantwell, who got into a brawl with Callum McGregor after the game, is anticipated to take Tom Lawrence’s spot as the No. 10 in Dingwall.

Given his history of injuries, Clement would likely rotate Lawrence, thus the Light Blues would benefit from the switch.

In another instance, Clement assured the media that Yilmaz would fully recover from his injury in a “matter of days” prior to the midweek match against Dundee, which was postponed.

Thus, we’ve anticipated that the Turk will start, and that Dujon Sterling, who can play wherever in midfield, would start alongside John Lundstram in place of Diomande.

This is the whole lineup we have for this weekend’s Rangers matchup against Ross County:
