The rollercoaster ride for Wrexham is still going strong; on Saturday, the team from North Wales was promoted to League One.

The Reds, owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney of Hollywood, have secured back-to-back promotions after their 6-0 victory over Forest Green Rovers and other positive outcomes in the league.

Under the control of the two, the rise has been explosive, straight out of a script for a motion picture. At the Racecourse Ground, fans erupted in joy as the full-time whistle blew, and players themselves were jumping, hugging supporters, and exploding champagne corks in the locker room.

As soon as the season is over, one imagines the festivities will not end and will even get more intense. Thanks to their kind and influential owners, the Reds players took an incredible journey to Las Vegas after they were promoted from the National League to League Two last year.

Additionally, Reynolds and McElhenney have already received encouragement to move forward with such plans this summer from star midfielder Elliot Lee.

After the 6-0 victory, he said in an interview with BBC Sport Wales: “I’m not sure if they’ve messaged anyone yet. After every game, Ryan usually sends us a message, so I’m sure he’ll message soon—actually, they both will, to be fair. “We’ve just told them to fire up the jet for Vegas!”

Due to obligations, the actors couldn’t be in the US for the game and instead had to go across the Atlantic. Nevertheless, the two were engrossed in the action, with McElhenney calling manager Phil Parkinson in person following the match.

Parkinson answered, “Well, Rob actually – I just dropped into my office and he rang up.”

“It seems that he wasn’t anticipating my response, thus our conversation has been excellent. He and Ryan would have clearly preferred to be here today, but they also deserve a lot of respect for the support they’ve provided to me, the staff, and the players. They deserve this, and I have no doubt that they will be celebrating wherever they are.
