This season, Nottingham Forest has been hindered at different points by injuries and absences. Furthermore, some contend that Willy Boly’s loss has affected people more than others.

After getting hurt last month while playing for Ivory Coast, the center back has not appeared for the Reds. Nuno Espirito Santo, the head coach, has stated he is unsure about the 33-year-old’s potential return date.

This week, when the subject of set-pieces came up on NottinghamshireLive’s Garibaldi Red podcast, Boly’s unavailability was brought up. It happened following Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, in which Matheus Cunha scored his second goal of the day off a corner kick, bringing Forest’s total number of goals given up from dead-ball situations to a league-high 22.

Regarding the Reds’ weakness, Reds supporter Max Scott stated: “Everyone involved has got to take responsibility.” Coaches should undoubtedly handle that, but if you’ve given up that many goals, there comes a time when you just have to take charge of the game. In case you’ve been instructed to defend it zonally and you realize it’s not effective, you can either go man-to-man or the other way around.

On the field, leaders are required. Although Murillo is an excellent player, I don’t think he’s ready to take the lead just yet because he’s so young and is learning a new language and culture. We shouldn’t expect him to accomplish even more than he already does, in my opinion.

Who is it, I wonder, that is yelling, who is it that is in charge in the box, who is putting people on the line at every turn when it occurs? While the athletes must accept accountability, the coaches must resolve the issue.

It’s awkward. It’s disgraceful that a Premier League club at such a high level can be so feeble and exposed to set-pieces.

And, you know, it’s a thing now? It’s now common knowledge that Forest supporters adopt a different mindset following a corner conceded. However, since the opposing fans are aware of our weakness, there is a double jeopardy where the atmosphere in the stadium shifts and a goal seems likely.

I find it hard to believe it’s due to a lack of attempt or effort. It’s simply insufficient. Nonetheless, the most obvious thing anyone has ever said is that they need to work things out.

“I think if we’d seen more of Willy Boly, that would have made a difference,” continued Forest supporter Dave Astbury. In a video that I watched, Chris Wood’s character Woody was asked to sum up all of his squad members in one word. When he reached Willy Boly, he simply said, “Daddy.” Willy seems to be the group leader, in my opinion.

Willy’s sole recent performance was at Luton. Willy had performed brilliantly at Luton. When Willy was a player at Luton, our team was superior. We appeared quite composed at the

“Willy applied his experience, even though he might not be as good as he was. Until Willy scored a goal against Luton that day, our defense appeared to be very strong. Since then, we haven’t seen him.

“I believe he reads the game more adeptly than many people realize.” He is clearly skilled in the air. When he’s played, I believe he’s been quite reliable for us. Regretfully, similar to several of ours, he spends more time on the treatment table than on the grass.

“We might have been better than the 22 (conceded), but I still believe we wouldn’t have been brilliant at set-pieces if Willy had played more. All around the nation, people are now aware of this bright, painful thumb. Really, it’s a disgraceful situation. You request that the team members become self-aware.

Andy Omobamidele has the potential to be a really good player. I genuinely adore that child—silent, refined, and full of grace. He’s going to be a good player, just not quite the whole package yet. Andy Omobamidele would be among the greatest players in that division and would truly improve if we dropped to the Championship. With any luck, we’ll remain in this league and Andy will improve.

“I believe Andy will have a bright future. I really enjoy him. But I just believe that it could have been wiser to substitute Willy for either of them (Murillo or Obombamidele). It might not have been as disastrous, though I’m not suggesting it would have been great.

Andy Omobamidele is a player with a lot of potential. I really do love that child; she is graceful, quiet, and full of grace. He may not yet be the complete player, but he will be an excellent one. If we lost to the Championship, Andy Omobamidele, one of the best players in that league, would significantly improve. Hopefully, we’ll stay in this league and Andy gets better.

“I think Andy’s future is quite bright. I have a lot of fun with him. However, I think it would have been better to replace both of them (Murillo and Obombamidele) with Willy. I’m not saying it would have been fantastic, just that it would not have been as bad.
