According to sources who spoke with Football Insider, Rangers player John Lundstram is still in negotiations with the team about a new deal.

The 30-year-old is anticipated to receive contract offers from English clubs, who are showing a lot of interest in the negotiations.

Notwithstanding the fact that talks with the midfield player have stalled recently, Rangers are optimistic that a deal will be made.

Lundstram’s contract with the Gers expires at the end of the current campaign. He joined the team from Sheffield United in 2021.

As English clubs prepare proposals, Rangers star is in talks about a new contract.
Lundstram, a midfielder, has made 47 appearances across all competitions so far this season, making him a vital player at Ibrox.

The 30-year-old has been a major fixture in both the Europa League and the Scottish Premiership for Philippe Clement.

As he nears his 50th appearance, the player has two goals and seven assists in all competitions.

Last month, sources revealed to Football Insider that discussions had broken down despite the Gers’ offer of a new contract at Ibrox to Lundstram.

If no such agreement is reached, the former Premier League player will be free to sign with any team during the summer transfer window.

Under Clement, Lundstram and Rangers are still vying for two championships; the Scottish behemoths are ranked second in the league and have advanced to the Scottish Cup semifinals.

In the former, fierce rivals Celtic lead by four points, while Hearts are waiting in the latter. That matchup takes place on Sunday, April 21, at Hampden Park.
