When they secured a postseason berth last season, the Los Angeles Rams took a lot of people by surprise. Although their postseason run was short, they had a lot of promise.

Los Angeles is anticipated to choose in the first round in the upcoming NFL Draft this year, marking their first such selection since 2016. The group hopes to extend their window of opportunity for success by continuing to develop their young players.

Chad Reuter recently released a mock draft for NFL.com in which the Rams acquired selection No. 31 by trading back to the Kansas City Chiefs. With this selection, Los Angeles selects Clemson’s Nate Wiggins, a cornerback, giving them maybe the greatest corner in the draft.

“Despite his small frame, Wiggins is eager to battle for the ball through the catch, and his closing speed is exceptional. Even after acquiring Tre’Davious White, who is recovering from an Achilles injury, and Darious Williams, the Rams might not be able to overlook the corner’s value at the bottom of the first round. Les Snead, the general manager, could certainly trade back and extend the team’s winning run to seven years without having to give up a first-round choice.

Wiggins possesses electrifying speed, which he uses to his advantage. Although Los Angeles signed some men who could fill in as backups, this decision would be more in line with a long-term strategy.

He posted 29 total tackles last season for the Tigers and has one sack. Wiggins also scored one interception return for a touchdown, showing off his speed.

Particularly towards the end of the first round, this would be a tremendous selection. Los Angeles is aware that it must prepare for the future, and this choice would assist them in doing so.
