The Boot Room reports that Aaron Cresswell will likely depart West Ham United this summer as his contract expires.

The experienced left-back’s ten-year tenure at the team is expected to come to an end when the season ends, according to a news outlet article published on their website on April 25.

Cresswell, 34, has made 15 appearances across all competitions this season with one goal to his credit. Last summer, he was rumored to be leaving for Wolves, but that move never happened.

At West Ham, Aaron Cresswell has been departing.
Over the years, Cresswell has been a devoted employee of the Hammers, having been a personal favorite of David Moyes when he first took over the team.

However, since Emerson Palmieri arrived from Chelsea, the team has shifted away from using Cresswell on a regular basis at left back.

He has occasionally played as a third center defender as well, although that looks unlikely to continue now that it is anticipated that Moyes will leave the team this summer in pursuit of a more adventurous approach.

Given that Cresswell is already well into his thirties and clearly on a downhill slope in his career, it is unnecessary to provide him a new contract if he isn’t playing frequently. It implies that he will probably follow Lucas Paqueta, who has been strongly rumored to be joining Manchester City, out of the club.

In any case, most would have expected this to happen, and maybe the supporters can offer him a fitting farewell in the season’s final home game against Luton.
