Slaati claims that James Tavernier, the captain of the Rangers, has received an official offer to relocate to Saudi Arabia and live with Steven Gerrard again.

The Saudi news organization claims on its website (April 7) that Gerrard has persuaded Al Ettifaq’s management to extend an offer to the right-back in order to move him away from Ibrox this summer.

The 32-year-old has now received an official offer from the club, and it will be interesting to see how he responds given that Philippe Clement and the board have planned a “mini-revolution” at Ibrox during the summer transfer window.

Clement is going to be furious over recent Rangers transfer news.
Al Ettifaq’s move for Tavernier brings the total number of Ibrox players who are likely to be leaving before the season even ends to three.

After his contract expires, Borna Barisic is reportedly “very close” to signing a free transfer to Turkish club Trabzonspor. Meanwhile, the same club is reportedly interested in signing John Lundstram and has reportedly reached an agreement, despite Clement’s stated desire to stay in Europe.

The manager will undoubtedly be furious at the thought of his team being disbanded against his desires, and there may even be a chance that the team regresses.

Since his arrival this season, a title charge has suddenly surfaced, and the manager needs support to move the team ahead instead of attempting to keep things as they are.

It won’t be perfect losing Barisic, but with Ridvan Yilmaz, Dujon Sterling, and Jefte on the way, the team should be able to handle it.

Considering his age and the pay he will probably request, Lundstram’s departure may not be a bad thing either, but the boss does not want it.

In addition, losing the team’s talisman and captain would be a terrible way to start the summer, and Rangers would need to make up a lot of distance in the transfer window simply to stay afloat.
