Edson Alvarez, a key player for West Ham, seems to have indicated he will stay despite rumors he wants to leave this summer.

Edson Alvarez signed with West Ham just eight months ago, following Declan Rice out of the team.

Ever since, Hammers supporters have taken a strong liking to the Mexican midfielder.

The team now considers El Machin, as he is called, to be an essential member.

And without him, West Ham just cannot win games.

Unfortunately, the Hammers have suffered in demonstrating that reality because of his fondness for a yellow card.

Alvarez has done a great job adjusting to the rigors of the Premier League.

He has demonstrated that, once granted permission, he is capable of moving forward and occasionally scoring a goal.

His capture appears to be a steal at £34 million from Ajax.

Lionheart has been an instant hit at West Ham

Alvarez has himself admitted he came close to joining both Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund before signing for West Ham.

In the sporadic interviews conducted outside of West Ham’s internal media, an unsettling pattern has emerged.

After rumors of a connection to Bayern, Alvarez said in October that he is “always open” to a move. “I want to play and show the people my best qualities,” he continued. However, you never know what’s going on in the summer.

According to reports this week from Caught Offside and other sources, West Ham is afraid Alvarez may try to leave if we don’t make it to Europe.

Fans of the Hammers are somewhat concerned about it because it currently appears to be an extremely challenging undertaking.

Now it seems we may be able to glean some good news reading between the lines of a new interview.

Alvarez seems to be saying he’s staying despite rumors that he wants to go.
Because despite rumors that he wants out, key West Ham player Alvarez seems to have indicated he’s staying.

The Mexican star appears to be hinting that he will be back for the upcoming season in an interview with the team’s official website.

He mentions how much he has enjoyed his “first season in England,” implying that there will be more.

He does, however, emphasize how crucial it is for West Ham to attempt to make it to Europe in the final four games.

“This is a big game for us.” Our main objective for the remainder of the season is to win because we know that in order to remain in the race for European football. stated Alvarez.

“I’ve learned so much over my first season in England, which I’ve cherished.

“I think I can still do a lot better, so I’m excited to keep improving, but right now all I want is to help the team place as high as possible in the table.”

After Alvarez impressed against Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg of their most recent quarterfinal match after serving a suspension reprieve, Xabi Alonso named Alvarez as West Ham’s most essential player.

To create a team around El Machin, Hammers must
The Spaniard recommended that Tim Steidten, his former manager, center the West Ham squad on Alvarez.

Hopefully, the Hammers can accomplish that.

Because this summer, the team has to sign at least 10 or 12 new players.

With just 22 players, West Ham has the second-smallest roster in the Premier League. Thus, it has already reached the third short.

Additionally, it is the second-oldest group of players in the elite division.

The last thing West Ham needs is to be attempting to find a replacement for Alvarez, especially considering that six players have contracts expiring this summer and that players like Lucas Paqueta, Nayef Aguerd, and Maxwel Cornet are probably going to be moved.

The video below makes it quite evident how much of an influence Alavrez has had at West Ham.
