Texas Tech wide receiver Xavier Worthy was selected by Kansas City. Although it wasn’t anticipated that he would be chosen in the first round, the organization chose to make this unexpected choice while keeping all the details under wraps.
The wide receiver ran a 40-yard dash record-breaking 4.21 seconds at this year’s NFL Combine. In addition, Patrick Mahomes has another quick target in Hollywood Brown, the other newcomer.
Social media went into overdrive as soon as Roger Goodell made the formal announcement.
