Phil Foden called Manchester City’s offensive line “frightening” prior to their matchup with Nottingham Forest.

The Premier League winners defeated Brighton 4-0 on Thursday night in preparation for their Sunday matchup with Forest at the City Ground. Following a goal from Kevin De Bruyne to put Pep Guardiola’s team ahead, Foden struck twice in the first half. A fourth goal was added by Julian Alvarez in the second half.

Even without their renowned striker Erling Haaland, who might make a comeback against Forest, City was still a formidable attacking force. Additionally, Foden said of Brighton, “They’re a very challenging team,” on Sky Sports Main Event.

“They like to play beautiful football, going man-to-man, but I think that after Kev’s goal and my second goal, we settled in and became more comfortable with the game.” The way we attacked in the first half was scary.

Guardiola made a suggestion that Haaland would play again against the Reds after a muscular ailment kept him out of their win over Brighton. After the game, he declared, “I would rather have Erling available to me than the squad without him.” “I don’t know, I spoke with him, and he says he feels better.”
