After a decision was made regarding the player’s future, Nottingham Forest is getting ready to say farewell to him this summer.

For Forest, who are now fighting for a spot at the basement of the Premier League, the 2023–24 season has been challenging.

They won’t have it any easier this weekend as Nuno Espirito Santo’s team hosts the defending European champions at the City Ground.

However, Forest will need to disregard the form guide coming into the weekend sitting just one point from the drop since every point might be important.

Before their match on Sunday, Forest might potentially fall into the bottom three if Luton Town defeats Wolves later today.

It appears that one player will be going at the end of the current season, regardless of whether Nuno’s team is able to keep their place in the top flight.

Over the next several weeks, there may be a lot of departures due to relegation to the Championship, but one player’s fate is

27-year-old at Nottingham Forest is expected to leave in the summer.
This season, a few specific Forest players have had some incredibly outstanding campaigns.

One of the key reasons they are not lower in the table than they are is undoubtedly Chris Wood’s goal-scoring exploits.

One player who could have an impact on Sunday is Morgan Gibbs-White, who has been the team’s standout performer thus far this season.

On Sunday, Forest will play in front of the cameras from Sky Sports and a group of experts who have been critical of the team all week.

Gonzalo Montiel, a loanee who has hardly played this season, is one player who is unlikely to start for the Forest team on Sunday.

And now, after his loan period expires, Forest will send the right-back back to Sevilla, as reported by journalist Rudy Galetti.

Due to his lack of participation this season, Forest is unlikely to use their £9 million option to extend his stay permanently.

With 10 league appearances totaling 501 minutes this season, the 27-year-old has only made five starts in the Premier League.

Montiel is not the only Forest outcast potentially leaving this summer

It could be a summer of exits at the City Ground depending on what lies ahead of the club in their remaining four Premier League games.

But one player who is already receiving interest from the continent is winger Josh Bowler who is currently on loan with Cardiff City.

It is believed German second tier side Hertha Berlin are already showing some interest in the 25-year-old ahead of the summer window.

Bowler has been able to offer Cardiff a return of four goals and two assists this season but is due to return to Forest at the end of the term.

With not a single appearances for Forest to his name, this could offer the club a great opportunity to get Bowler off their books.
