Paul Mullin, a forward for Wrexham, has led the team to consecutive promotions, and as the Red Dragons get ready for the Championship the following season, he has his sights set on the Premier League.

After the 2023–24 season ends, Paul Mullin, a star striker for Wrexham, says he wants to play in the Premier League for the team.

After defeating Forest Green Rovers 6-0, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s team was promoted twice in a row earlier this month. At the Racecourse Ground, the outcome was already certain because striker Mullin scored twice in the stunning win to extend the Red Dragons’ incredible story.

The most recent promotion for Wrexham will be their second in a row following their 2023 return to the Football League following a 15-year hiatus. The team advances to within two promotions of the Premier League with another rung on the football league ladder.

Mullin, who led Wrexham to promotion to League Two the previous season with 38 league goals, has emerged as the project’s on-field representative for Reynolds and McElhenney. This season, the 29-year-old was once again the team’s top scorer, and he is happy in Wrexham.

Mullin actually intends to stay on as the club’s manager for the foreseeable future. Mullin feels that Wrexham is where he should stay for the long run. He hopes that Reynolds and McElhenney will eventually lead the Red Dragons to the Premier League.

Mullin told the Guardian, “I’m here for the next two years.” “I love the club and the fans, and I love them back.”

“Wrexham accepted an offer from another club, so I’m in a situation where they’re telling me to leave. It’s not something I would hope to happen or am searching for. In fact, the reverse is true. I would adore playing for Wrexham in the Premier League. The pipe dream is that.

The owners also hope to one day become a Premier League team. Who knows how long that will take—ten or twenty years? Five years or fifty years? Rob and Ryan are extremely driven and accomplished in all they do. They want football to be the same as anything else. They want to carry on and give us another promotion.

Since Mullin’s current contract expires in 2026, it’s possible that in his last season, he may even lead Wrexham to the Premier League. Even so, an extension would probably result from such output.

Mullin has the second-highest goal total in the league with 24 goals in 37 league games this season. In the season finale, Wrexham overcame an early deficit thanks to goals from Andy Cannon and Ollie Palmer, defeating League Two champions Stockport County.

In July, Wrexham will embark on their second preseason tour of the US and Canada. Although the Red Dragons played against teams like Manchester United and Chelsea last summer, the club’s opponents are still unknown at this time.
