Nuno Espirito Santo, the head coach, anticipates learning the result of Nottingham Forest’s appeal against their point punishment in the next few days.

The Reds lost four points last month after breaking the Profitability and Sustainability Rules. The club filed an appeal against the penalty, and their hearing was held in front of an impartial commission on Wednesday.

Forest might learn the outcome by the middle of this following week, as a decision is anticipated in less than a week. And Nuno is eager for the issue to become clear.

“Everyone is waiting for the ruling. Following his team’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City, the Portuguese stated, “Hopefully it is very soon so we can deal again with reality.”

“We don’t know exactly how many points we have – if it’s 26, 28, 30. Let’s wait and see. It (having clarity) will make a big difference – for everybody, not only us but for all of the league.”

With three games to go, the Reds remain just one point above the Premier League relegation zone. But they should take plenty of encouragement from a positive performance against title-challengers City.

The hosts at the City Ground paid a price for their missed opportunities. Erling Haaland and Josko Gvardiol’s goals sealed the three points for Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Nuno continued, “We have to realize the significance of what lies ahead of us and have faith in what we are doing.” “We must look for the good things from this match. The players worked really hard and had a great attitude. We must continue to rely on the backing of the fans and get ready for the next game against Sheffield United, even when we didn’t have the ball.
