It’s no secret that Bayern Munich has struggled to choose a new manager since candidates like Ralf Rangnick and Xabi Alonso are reluctant to take the position.
The head of Brighton & Hove Albion is now the target of the Bundesliga’s biggest clubs, according to recent allegations from the Italian media.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb today, Roberto De Zerbi’s transfer to Bayern Munich is on track as the team has “intensified contacts” to get him to the country.
Those “concrete steps” allegedly occurred on Thursday, and there was some communication with the Brighton coach’s entourage.
The report states that more work will be done in the next days in order to reach a “definitive agreement” with the manager.
It must be noted, however, that not all of the Italian media possesses the same knowledge, notwithstanding TuttoMercatoWeb’s assertive claims. On Twitter, Calcio Mercato journalist Daniele Longo claims that De Zerbi is a “cold track” for Bayern Munich.
It’s currently only TMW out there on its own; the German media has yet to comment on that chase as well.
