If David Moyes leaves West Ham United at the end of the current campaign, one player will depart the team.

This summer, David Moyes is being strongly connected to leaving West Ham, with reports indicating that the Scot will most likely quit the team at the end of the current campaign.

At West Ham in 2024, the Scot has presided over an astonishing run of performances, and a top seven finish suddenly looks unlikely.

How unfortunate that is. We were comfortably positioned in sixth place in the table following our 2-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates on December 28.

With a game remaining, West Ham was only six points outside of the Champions League spots at the moment!

Nevertheless, following a record of just three Premier League victories since the start of the year, we currently occupy ninth place in the standings.

The Hammers have been eliminated from Europe with just six points separating them and Fulham, who are in 13th place. The campaign’s second half has been dreadful due to a bad run of form supported by Moyes’s inept leadership.

Please pardon me if I’m eager for the 61-year-old to depart the club. But now it appears that one specific individual might follow him out the door.

If David Moyes leaves, the player with 152 appearances will depart from West Ham.
The majority of Hammers supporters are now over Moyes’ tenure as our manager.

This season, The Scot had a fantastic chance to truly take us to the next level, but his gloomy and pessimistic attitude has definitely held us back.

It’s obvious that the coaching staff needs to be replaced, and it appears that the players agree as well.

If Moyes does indeed quit the team this summer, right-back Vladimir Coufal will follow him out the door, according to a talkSPORT story.

I will not consider that to be a significant loss. Despite having played 152 games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt), the 31-year-old has underperformed this year.

Sure, Coufal has continued to contribute with assists, but opposing wingers routinely clean up his mess.

Before the 2019–20 season begins, the Hammers must make a significant boost on the Czech Republic international.

The fact that the West Ham player will depart if Moyes leaves this summer is, in my opinion, positive news.

What Coufal said about West Ham fans was completely wrong

The 31-year-old risked the wrath of the Hammers fanbase a couple of months ago when he suggested that we expect too much from the team:

“I maybe understand a bit of criticism but we have had some good results against top teams, so It’s a bit unnecessary. I think that sometimes the expectations of the fans is a bit too much. I think some of the pre-season predictions that we’ll fight top four or top three, too much.”

None of us expect our team to finish inside the top three or four.

All we ask for as fans is for our team to be competitive, to have a go and for the players not to sit back and invite pressure on themselves.

That’s all the West Ham fans have ever wanted, and Vladimir Coufal is clearly well out of touch with that.

As harsh as it may sound, don’t let the door hit you on the way out Vlad!
