Nayef Aguerd wants to leave West Ham United this summer because of something that David Moyes has done.

Two days ago it emerged that West Ham centre-back Nayef Aguerd has emerged as a summer transfer target for Ligue 1 outfit Marseille.

According to recent sources, David Moyes, the manager of the Hammers, has given the Morocco international very little hope for the future at the London Stadium.

Aguerd appeared to be nearing the end of his London Stadium career, having signed with Athletic for a sum of £27 million less than two years ago. Let’s be honest: he has been utterly awful for us.

He appeared to be the genuine deal at first, but as time has gone on, he has shown himself to be a poor match for West Ham, as his style is terribly inappropriate for playing in the Premier League.

It is obvious that the 28-year-old’s future is not with West Ham. He could do well in Marseille, and it appears he has one particular motive for wanting to get out of the London Stadium.

Wants to quit West Ham, Nayef Aguerd
The Moroccan is open to the prospect of leaving the Hammers this summer, according to a report from Le10Sport.

And there is one reason in particular that is slowly forcing him out the door…

Moroccan journalist Hakim Zhouri explained the real reason why Aguerd wants to leave West Ham:

“He responded to me yesterday. The fact that he is no longer considered a “indisputable” starter does not stop the player from considering leaving. He enters the game less now that he is further into the rotation. While it’s true that he’s a little injured, he actually plays a smaller role in the coach’s game. The club is open to the notion of letting him go because there are others ahead of him. Second, he might find the Marseille game plan appealing. After that, a lot of things will determine it.

So, the former Rennes man wants to leave the London Stadium because he’s not a guaranteed starter anymore.

I don’t blame Moyes for not playing him either – he’s a liability and has become a target for the opposition in every single game she plays.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out Nayef!

Aguerd has been injured on and off all season long really.

He has played just five Premier League games for the Hammers since December 17th (Soccerbase).

I think if we can get a decent fee for him, we need to move him on without hesitation. Hopefully a club from Saudi come in and make a big bid for him but even if they don’t, I’m just hoping that we cut our losses on the centre-back.

Nayef Aguerd has been a terrible signing for West Ham on the whole, and finally his time at the club seems to be coming to an end.
