Surprising rumors that three of West Ham United’s greatest players are for sale have left the team in terrible straits, and technical director Tim Steidten and David Moyes are allegedly at odds.

West Ham, now four points behind seventh-place Newcastle United in the Premier League, has a slim chance of making it to Europe the next season. But, the Magpies still have a game to play, and it is obvious that if West Ham wants to continue playing in Europe, a lot has to go right in the last few weeks of the season.

Moyes’ team had been expecting to improve on their previous season’s performance by winning the Europa League after winning the Europa Conference League. But in the quarterfinals, Xabi Alonso’s apparently unbeatable Bayer Leverkusen squad dashed that ambition.

The future of Moyes as manager is a subject of ongoing conjecture. During his second stint in East London, the Scot has performed admirably, leading West Ham to their first major trophy in forty-three years and three consecutive trips to the European quarterfinals.

But Moyes’ contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and some club insiders are hoping to bring in a more glitzy player so the team can play more thrilling football.

Moyes is reportedly so incensed over Steidten scouting possible managerial successors that he has banned the German star from the locker room, according to talkSPORT.

Moyes’ anger hit the next level when he discovered that Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim had travelled to London to meet with West Ham executives.

Not only is the relationship between Moyes and Steidten seemingly broken, but some of West Ham’s top stars are being tipped to leave this summer.

West Ham latest: Paqueta, Kudus departures expected

According to worrying reports emerging from Spain, playmaker Lucas Paqueta could be the first star to leave the club.

He has an £85million release clause in his contract which becomes active in June, and Manchester City are strongly considering activating it.

In a damaging twist, it is claimed that electric forward Mohammed Kudus could follow Paqueta out of the London Stadium.

Kudus has been a revelation since his £40m transfer from Ajax last summer but West Ham are already planning to cash in on him. The Irons have set his price tag at £68m.

Edson Alvarez, a defensive midfielder, is ranked third on the list of possible departures. He has made 40 appearances since joining West Ham for £35 million last summer, but the club is reportedly “looking to find a new destination for him.”

All West Ham wants to do is recoup their original investment in the Mexican by selling him for £35 million.
