Fleur Robinson will step down as Chief Executive of Wrexham at the end of the current campaign, the club has announced.

The announcement follows the Red Dragons’ triumph over Forest Green Rovers earlier in the month, which allowed them to successfully earn back-to-back promotions.

Phil Parkinson’s team won 6-0 thanks to goals from Jack Marriott, Elliot Lee, Paul Mullin, Ryan Barnett, and an own goal from Ryan Inniss. This assured them a spot in the third division of English football.

With the club now preparing for life in League One, there has been a big departure, which was announced on Friday afternoon.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Wrexham AFC Chief Executive Officer Fleur Robinson is to leave the Club at the end of the season.

“Fleur has been in day-to-day charge of the club for three years having overseen its highly successful double promotion from the National League to EFL League One.

“The Club has confirmed the departure of Ms Robinson with the owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds thanking her for her leadership and outstanding contribution to the club’s success.”

Reynolds and McElhenney said: “We are extremely grateful for all that Fleur has done in transforming the club over the past couple of years and we wish her every success with her future plans.”

“It has been a privilege to lead Wrexham as CEO for the past three years,” Robinson remarked. I take great pride in the fact that the club is in a much better place than it was when I joined.

Robinson’s exit occurs after the team declared the release of eight players.

Due to contract expiration, Aaron Hayden, Rob Lainton, Callum McFadzean, Ben Tozer, Jordan Tennicliffe, Luke Young, Owen Cushion, and Dan Davies are all leaving.

Meanwhile, James McLean will have his contract automatically extended, and Steven Fletcher, Mark Howard and Aaron James will be offered new deals.
