Despite losing Aaron Donald to retirement, the Los Angeles Rams still project to be one of the more intriguing teams heading into the 2024 NFL season.
Los Angeles restocked its roster with several talented players in the 2024 NFL Draft, most notably Jared Verse and Braden Fiske, who will be tasked with filling the void Donald left behind.
Meanwhile, head coach Sean McVay’s still got the core of his offense intact in Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, and Kyren Williams.
Stafford in particular will be the key to leading Los Angeles back to the postseason after he had a strong finish to the 2023 NFL season.
The veteran quarterback is under contract through the 2026 NFL season but has made it known he’s looking for more guaranteed money on his deal because he believes he can still play at a high level.
General manager Les Snead will need to figure out how to make his quarterback happy but emphasized the plan is to continue building around him, via SiriusXM NFL Radio.
“We want to make the most out of the Matthew Stafford era here in LA,” Snead said.
At his best, Stafford is one of the most electric passers in the league because of his arm talent and natural ability to make plays downfield.
Despite his lengthy injury history, Stafford only missed one real game last season due to his thumb and proved he could stay healthy over the course of the regular season.
Los Angeles went all-in on a Super Bowl when they originally traded for Stafford and they seem intent on keeping him around no matter what
