Following his remarks on Crystal Palace, Yannick Bolasie, 34, received a message from Steve Parish.
The international player for the Democratic Republic of the Congo is currently playing football with Criciuma in Brazil, but he hasn’t forgotten the location of his career’s beginning.
From 2012 to 2016, Bolasie—who made 144 appearances overall, including one in an FA Cup final—was instrumental in our transformation from Championship underdogs to a reliable Premier League team.
The Lyon native is unquestionably a legend at Selhurst Park, and he has now opened up about his thoughts on Crystal Palace eight years after leaving.
Crystal Palace receives a telegram from Yannick Bolasie
A well-known account on X, which was formerly Twitter, posted a figure indicating that the Eagles will finish between 40 and 49 points for the eleventh straight season, and it asked Crystal Palace supporters whether they were bored.
Bolasie responded admirably, sending a heartfelt note.
The Criciuma No.11 said: “It’s a place everyone dreams of being, I think people don’t get how much of an achievement it is, the club has grown each year and is continuing to do so…most fans/clubs would do anything to be in our position.”
Bolasie is obviously still an Eagle at heart, as evidenced by the usage of the phrase “our.”
Steve Parish answers
Naturally, Bolasie’s speech was adored by Crystal Palace supporters, and Parish was no exception.
The 58-year-old replied to the winger’s touching message regarding the Eagles with the words “❤️💙❤️💙.”
Bolasie and Crystal Palace are obviously still very much in love, and the winger should always be welcome to return to Selhurst Park.
He was in charge of some of the best moments in Crystal Palace’s history, having scored against Watford to propel us into the 2016 FA Cup final and becoming the first player to score a Premier League hat-trick for the Eagles—a feat that has yet to be surpassed.
At the very least, a genuine club legend.
