To bolster the Red Devils’ lineup with more firepower, Manchester United has been linked to a high-profile summer transfer for Michael Olise, a star for Crystal Palace.

The gifted 22-year-old’s asking price is expected to rise with each game; on Monday night, he scored two goals against Erik ten Hag’s team and received a 10/10 rating from LondonWorld. Rumor has it that the Eagles are open to offers as high as £60 million for him.

Eberechi Eze is a player who Crystal Palace should be ready to trade for this summer as players thrive under new manager Oliver Glasner. Ahead of a transfer window that might see more big-money bids made to Selhurst Park, LondonWorld examines the ten greatest sales in the club’s history.

1. Matt Jensen – £4.1 million

Left for Blackburn Rovers in 1999 and enjoyed a successful seven years with the side. He spent just one year with the Eagles, who purchased him from Carlisle United for £1 million.

2. Clinton Morrison – £4.25 million

Having broke through the Crystal Palace academy and made over 150 appearances for the first team, Clinton Morrison joined Birmingham City in 2002. He spent three years in the Midlands before returning to Selhurst Park.

3. Chris Armstrong – £4.5 million

Joined Tottenham Hotspur in June 1995 to replace Jurgen Klinsmann, who headed to Bayern Munich. Armstrong was Spurs’ most expensive ever signing at the time.

4. Christian Benteke – £4.7 million

Christian Benteke moved from Crystal Palace to DC United in August 2022 after six years at Selhurst Park. He’s still playing for the side in the MLS.

5. Andy Johnson – £8.5 million

Everton needed to make multiple bids to prize Andy Johnson away from Crystal Palace in 2002. Bolton Wanderers also tried to sign the player in that summer.

6. Dwight Gayle – £10 million

Became Rafa Benitez’s second summer signing at Newcastle United in July 2016. He enjoyed success in the Championship on Tyneside and helped Derby County back to the Championship this season.

7. Wilfried Zaha – £10 million

The famous Manchester United move never worked out for Wilfried Zaha after the Red Devils forked out £10 million for the winger in 2013 – with that fee rising to £15 million with performance-related add-ons. He returned to Palace permanently two years later.

8. Alexander Sorloth – £20 million

Never really made an impact at Crystal Palace having signed from Midtjylland in 2018. Joined RB Leipzig in 2020 and is now at Villarreal.

9. Yannick Bolasie – £25 million

Completed a big money move to Everton in August 2016 but spent much of his five years at Goodison Park on loan. Bolasie joined Brazilian side Criciúma this year.

10. Aaron Wan-Bissaka – £45 million

Joined Manchester United in June 2019 for £45 million with another £5 million in add-ons in what was a big sale for Crystal Palace given the player was homegrown. Had a night to forget on his return to south London on Monday.
