AC Milan could target a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Nico Dominguez this summer, as he ‘may want a change of scenery’ after a difficult season.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say Milan are targeting a central midfielder and Dominguez is an old idea for them.
The newspaper explains that Milan need to add a midfielder to their squad after the departures of Franck Kessie, Sandro Tonali and Rade Krunic.
A transfer has become a priority that can no longer be postponed, and Dominguez is a player they’ve long had on their radar. In fact, they were keen on him last summer before he eventually ended up at Nottingham Forest.
He’s been a regular for Forest since and posting interesting numbers amid their relegation battle, but it is that which could push him away.
The belief is that it is more than possible that after a ‘complicated year’ such as this one for him and Nottingham Forest, he ‘may want a change of scenery’.
A lot will depend on the considerations he makes at the end of the season and whether Nottingham Forest can keep themselves in the Premier League, which they are currently on course to do.
Milan, though, could be a tempting destination and they are certainly thinking about a move to help solve their defensive midfield problem.
