Leeds United is probably set to lose one player this summer as it became known that the team may now take a lowball offer to get rid of him.

Leeds’s two Premier League games
Following a dreary 0-0 stalemate in the East Anglian sunlight on Sunday against Norwich City, Leeds and Daniel Farke now find themselves two victories away from making a trip back to the Premier League.

Arriving at Elland Road on Thursday night, the second leg of the Championship play-off semi-final will see Norwich take on one of Southampton or West Brom, who drew 0-0 in their first leg and will play for a spot at Wembley on Friday night. A victory would guarantee a spot at Wembley.

If Leeds manages to exit the second division through the play-offs, it will be the first time in their history that they have accomplished such a feat. They lost to Derby County in the 2019 semi-finals and had failed in all four of their previous attempts in the Championship and League One.

No matter which division they play in come season, though, there will undoubtedly be changes this summer. Joe Rodon’s loan is about to expire, so he will return to Tottenham, where he might attract interest from teams other than the Yorkshire side. Meanwhile, the Premier League is taking notice of the impressive duo Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville.

Naturally, Leeds wants to retain every player this summer, but certain other players are significantly more valuable to the team’s owners, 49ers Enterprises.

Leeds loanee scheduled for sale
It has now been revealed that Brenden Aaronson may be free to depart Leeds permanently this summer. After arriving to much excitement in 2022, the USMNT player failed in the Premier League and quickly left on loan when Leeds were relegated from the top flight. He is now on loan at Union Berlin.

The 23-year-old, who is paid £45,000 a week, “has no future at Elland Road and is not expected to play for the club again once his time in Germany comes to an end,” according to Football Insider, who also speculates that Leeds may be willing to sell him for a significant loss.

The Yorkshire team might let him go for just £12 million, which is less than half of the £25 million they paid RB Salzburg for his services. No matter which division they play in this summer when Aaronson returns, according to earlier reports, Farke is not interested in keeping him.

According to reports, Union may not be able to pay Leeds’ asking price in order to make the move permanent this summer. A deal on Leeds’ conditions would establish a new record for the German team, surpassing the £11 million they paid for Robin Gosens last summer. However, it appears like Aaronson has played his final ball for Leeds White.
