According to Give Me Sport, Danilo and Cyriel Dessers are both more likely to finalize their departures from Rangers during the summer transfer window.
The media outlet revealed on May 17 that the strike pair look set to leave the team at the end of the current campaign.
Because of this, the team now needs a striker badly, and Lawrence Shankland is one of those being connected.
Danilo and Cyriel Dessers are two players that the Rangers will never consider moving.
With Kemar Roofe and maybe Abdallah Sima departing, selling both Danilo and Dessers would leave the Gers with a big hole in their assault. It just wouldn’t make sense.
Due to injury, Danilo hasn’t played much this season since joining the Gers for £6 million in the summer. That’s a significant amount of money to spend.
To cover the gap in sales, a large and perhaps costly investment in new competitors would be required.
Dessers has also demonstrated his capacity to advance and fit in with the team’s style of play, as evidenced by his 22 goals and four assists this season in all competitions, despite a poor start.
The arrival of Shankland would greatly improve the Gers’ chances, yet it makes little to no sense to move both of the aforementioned players.
If they are in dire need of finances to fund that transfer, perhaps then an argument could be made for selling either.
