According to the Sunday People, Liam Coopers is certain about staying with Leeds United this summer, while Daniel Farke is holding off to see if promotion to the Premier League is guaranteed.
The Whites need to win to move up a division when they play Southampton in the Play-Off final on Sunday, May 26.
David Anderson (19 May), in a piece for the Sunday People, suggests that Cooper’s future at Leeds will be determined following the final whistle.
The Scottish defender hopes to stay at Elland Road for a decade, but the team appears “unlikely” to extend an offer to him in the event that promotion is gained.
Is Liam Cooper worth keeping for Leeds United?
After moving to Leeds from Chesterfield in 2014, Cooper has been a Leeds legend for almost a decade.
He has since made 284 appearances for the team in several competitions, including the Premier League, under several managers.
Like many players who have been at the club in the long term, he played his best football under Marcelo Bielsa during his reign.
Given that he has only made 16 Championship games, this season has seen him assume a more squad player position.
He played just seven minutes in the Play-Offs after entering late in Norwich’s second-leg thrashing.

One may argue that Cooper would benefit from the opportunity to go on and start a fresh chapter with a different Championship team.
