The centre-back is closing in on a move to the Premier League to raise doubts over Marc Guehi’s future

As the team approaches its first summer addition, Crystal Palace and Chadi Riad have reached a personal terms agreement.

It is anticipated that the 20-year-old center defender will sign a deal worth up to £14 million to leave Real Betis.

Born in Majorca, Riad has two caps for Morocco. He signed with Betis last summer after leaving Barcelona, and he played in thirty games for the team that finished seventh in La Liga this year.

In an attempt to continue on their successful season-ending performance under Oliver Glasner and bolster their roster for the upcoming campaign, Palace is anticipated to finalize an agreement to sign the left-footed defender as their first summer addition.

Marc Guehi, who is attracting interest from other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, may be leaving after moving to Selhurst Park.

Guehi is purportedly considered by United as a backup option to Jarrad Branthwaite in the event that they are unable to persuade Everton to sell with a bid of at least £55 million.

Guehi, who was yesterday included in England’s tentative squad for Euro 2024 together with his Palace teammates Eberechi Eze, Adam Wharton, and Dean Henderson, might fetch up to £65 million from Palace.
