With regard to Miguel Almiron, Newcastle United has taken a risky transfer decision.
During the January transfer window, Saudi Arabian clubs expressed interest in signing the 30-year-old forward, but the Magpies declined to trade him.
There are rumors that Newcastle would be open to selling him in the summer since they have to adhere to the PSR restrictions.
Almiron’s agent, Daniel Campo, claims that while a number of Premier League teams have expressed interest in Almiron, Newcastle is unwilling to let him go.
Although Almiron seems content at St. James’ Park, Campo hinted that “some changes” might be in store for him.
Although Newcastle does not want to transfer him, other Premier League teams are interested in him. According to writer Roberto Rojas, Campo stated, “He’s comfortable there for now, but there could be some changes.”
Summer transfer window to be massive for Newcastle United
Playing on both wings, Almiron is a versatile offensive midfield player. He arrived during the 2019 January transfer window and has played in more over 200 games for the Magpies.
In 23 Premier League starts this season, he has managed three goals and an assist, including some “excellent” efforts.
Although it appears like Newcastle is not considering selling him to a rival Premier League team at the time, they might yet let him move somewhere else, particularly to Saudi Arabia. In order to acquire a new right-sided midfielder, Eddie Howe’s team may decide to sacrifice Almiron in the event that a competitive offer is made.
Newcastle is eager to finalize a deal for Llyod Kelly from AFC Bournemouth and is also close to acquiring Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.
While this is going on, the Magpies are looking into strengthening their attacking unit and have shown a strong desire to recruit Jarrod Bowen, a forward for West Ham.
