Following Roberto De Zerbi’s departure from The Amex at the conclusion of the 2023–2024 season, Brighton & Hove Albion is currently in the process of selecting a new manager.

Another name has now been added to the Seagulls’ list, joining the several that have already been linked.

Bild claims that Brighton is considering recruiting Dino Toppmöller, the manager of Eintracht Frankfurt.

After beginning his coaching career with German lower-division teams, the 43-year-old relocated to Luxembourg and then returned to Germany to work as Julian Nagelsmann’s assistant at Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.

He was chosen by Eintracht Frankfurt to succeed Oliver Glasner in the summer of last year, and he contributed to their sixth-place finish in the standings this year. Although Toppmöller is reportedly in a bad mood, the Bundesliga team has no plans to fire him, according to Bild.
Brighton is still considering him despite his predicament at the German team.

The German is said to have refused requests from the Seagulls and AC Milan “straight away” after they enquired about him in recent days.

With a contract that runs until 2026 at Eintracht Frankfurt, Toppmöller’s ambition appears to be unabated.
