Nottingham Forest are in danger of losing a “talented” player alongside the rumours surrounding Morgan Gibbs-White in the summer transfer window, with Premier League clubs eyeing moves for both young stars.

Gibbs-White transfer rumours

The Reds achieved what was asked of them in the end this season, staying in the Premier League, but that’s not to say that there wasn’t drama along the way. Nuno’s side had to overcome points being taken off the board, but ended up doing just enough to remain in the top flight.

Attention now turns to new signings, although the future of Gibbs-White has arguably been one of the biggest talking points, as Forest look to try and keep hold of perhaps their most important and talented player.

The Englishman was outstanding in the 2023–24 season, tallying five goals and registering ten assists in the league. However, his performance has led to a number of publications speculating that he may depart.

In the offseason of 2024–2025, Gibbs-White is being connected to a number of teams, including Newcastle United. Tottenham, on the other hand, has also had conversations with the 24-year-old, who they believe has the ability to be a better player than James Maddison.

Additionally, Nottingham Forest may lose the “talented” winger
The Guardian claims that Spurs are interested in signing Callum Hudson-Odoi to their team and that Nottingham Forest may lose him this summer as well. The winger “was offered to them last summer when he was surplus to requirements at Chelsea,” according to the source, but the north Londoners chose to go elsewhere and ended up signing Brennan Johnson from Forest.

According to the update, Hudson-Odoi is now “on their wishlist for what is expected to be a busy summer” and “Spurs’ opinion towards Hudson-Odoi has changed after a fine season at Forest”.

Given that Hudson-Odoi and Gibbs-White are perhaps the two most entertaining players on the club, losing both of them would be devastating for any Forest fan this summer.

This season, Hudson-Odoi has excelled in his own right, scoring eight Premier League goals and developing into a master at bending inch-perfect finishes into the far corner from his left-sided role, even though the latter has likely garnered the most plaudits from the general football audience. Nuno praised one such incident against Bournemouth.

It would be really sad to see the £80,000-per-week Hudson-Odoi leave Chelsea so quickly after only joining last summer, but Spurs’ allure may be too strong for him, allowing him to play for a team in Europe and return to London the following season. It might be more appealing if Gibbs-White is included.

Forest have to do all they can to retain at least one of their star players’ future this summer, with both extremely hard to replace if they do move on.
