In the upcoming weeks, Newcastle United hopes to complete the signings of Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo.

After declining better terms, both players’ contracts at Fulham and AFC Bournemouth expire next month. Additionally, the Magpies quickly initiated communication with the hope that both trades would be finalized.

Adarabioyo informed the West London club that he would not be staying, hence he was left out of Fulham’s squad for their final four Premier League games in 2023–24.

Since signing from Manchester City four years ago, the 26-year-old has made 126 appearances for the Cottagers, 78 of which have been in the Premier League. Adarabioyo has been linked to both West Ham United and Manchester United, as well as other teams like Tottenham Hotspur, but it’s believed the player is impressed with Eddie Howe and the club’s project.

Kelly has long been admired by Howe, who paid £13 million to recruit him for Bournemouth in 2019. Kelly was formerly with Bristol City. The 25-year-old, who has made 141 appearances for the Cherries, led the team in 2021–22 upon their promotion back to the Premier League. He is also capable of playing left back and center back.

Newcastle is making the most of the free agent market because they know that some of its players will sign deals at the end of the next month.

Here, we examine the expiration dates of each Newcastle player’s contract, including the five who have contracts that expire on June 30:
