According to reports, Wrexham has entered the hunt to sign a Premier League player, although the Championship will present competition.

The Red Dragons have successfully obtained back-to-back promotions and are getting ready for life in League One.

Ever since the Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney acquired control of the team, Wrexham has been rising through the ranks of English football.

Wrexham has already been connected to a wide range of players, including Jamie Vardy, Arthur Okonkwo, and Macaulay Langstaff, in anticipation of the summer transfer season.

There are now rumors circulating that Wrexham is interested in a Premier League player.

Marc Leonard, a midfielder for Brighton & Hove Albion, is a target for the Red Dragons in the forthcoming transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

During the 23–24 season, Leonard was on loan to Northampton Town, where he made an impression and was named the team’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season.

In League One, the 22-year-old recorded five goals and six assists overall.

But Hull City, Preston North End, and Plymouth Argyle, three Championship teams, will provide fierce opposition for Wrexham.

It has been suggested that Brighton won’t obstruct Leonard’s desire to leave the team, and that he might be sold for a price of about £300,000.

After moving to the Amex Stadium for the first time in the summer of 2018, Leonard has subsequently gone on loan to teams like Hearts and Rangers.

Leonard has only ever appeared in two first-team games for the Seagulls.

Recently, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson discussed his team’s preparations for League One, saying, “Like I have said before, the way we have operated is that we identify the player and then a deal is put in place.”

“After that, we determine if it offers good value, and if so, we work to push it over the edge.”

“If it doesn’t, we move away, as we have done in the past for a variety of reasons,” he continued. We haven’t yet reached the point in the summer where we are discussing fees and similar topics.

“As Wrexham is a competing club, the clubs we will face off against for those players will have similar spending power, so I haven’t really sensed that people are trying to inflate the price at the moment.”
