It appears that Tuesday morning’s ABC Sevilla news that Chadi Riad would shortly receive his medical clearance before moving to Crystal Palace was accurate.

El Chiringuito claims that the player has already arrived in London in order to proceed with the trade.

It’s claimed that Riad will have his medicals with Crystal Palace on Wednesday, and will then be ready to sign for the Eagles.

The player still officially belongs to Barcelona, but Betis, who had him on a loan spell his season, are about to buy him before selling him to the Premier League side.

The reports from the Spanish media claim the green and white club are paying Barça €3m for the signing, having negotiated him with Crystal Palace for €16m.

Betis are taking 50% of the profit and sending it to Barcelona, so they make much less with the sale.

That may sound a little complicated, but the fact is that Crystal Palace managed to push that deal quite early ahead of the summer window, and should soon make his arrival to Selhurst Park official.
