Brendan Rodgers has stated that he is eager to make a move for Adam Idah, the Republic of Ireland international, but Celtic will have to wait to finalize a possible deal.

Idah had an incredible half-season while on loan in Glasgow, tallying nine goals in 19 games, all of which were essential in clinching victories and awards.

In addition, the Norwich City player scored two goals in the derby against Rangers, including the thrilling winner in the 90th minute of the Scottish Cup Final played last weekend. Following the game, Rodgers stated that he is expecting the Celtic board to negotiate a permanent transfer agreement with the Canaries; later reports suggested that the club is prepared to approve the transfer; however, the most recent information indicates that this will not be a simple process.

Norwich City will evaluate Adam Idah.
Despite a £6 million price tag being mentioned, Football Scotland revealed on Friday night that Norwich is eager to evaluate Idah throughout the preseason and isn’t even considering a deal at this time.

The club is reportedly eager for their new manager, Johannes Hoff Thorup, to see the 23-year-old. Thorup was just named their new manager.

Importantly, there isn’t really an urgency to sell because Idah has a deal with Norwich through 2028. He won’t be leaving if they consider him to be a crucial component of their English Championship push for the upcoming season.

Celtic must make difficult transfer decisions.
All of this suggests that Celtic could have to wait for their guy. That also jeopardizes any transaction, particularly if the Bhoys find and pursue other targets in the interim. No one wants this to become a historical drama.

The supporters of Celtic are eager to see the team take initiative in the transfer market. They believe that waiting all summer to sign Idah will be counterproductive since there’s a chance it doesn’t work out and Celtic will have to settle for less-than-ideal, late possibilities.
